Levain Bakery & Strawberry Fields

My roommate Ryan loves chocolate chip cookies and as such is always on a quest to discover the "best cookie ever".  According to Yelp and some other sources, a bakery called Levain Bakery (http://www.levainbakery.com/) on the Upper West Side has the best cookie in New York City.  

1600 reviews and 4.5 stars later, we set out to try it for ourselves.  They only serve 4 types of cookies: chocolate chip walnut, double chocolate, chocolate peanut butter, and oatmeal raisin.  

I tried the chocolate chip walnut which was still hot from the oven.  The cookie was delicious and huge!!!

Afterwards we headed to Central Park and found ourselves at the John Lennon "Imagine" memorial in a part of the park renamed "Strawberry Fields" in his memory.

This part of the park is right outside of the building he lived in and was shot outside of, the Dakota.

New Life
